Conférence d'André Todd à l'Université de Sherbrooke

Soucy International and its General manager, André Todd, presented on September 15 the « Journée carrières en génie et informatique » at the University of Sherbrooke, a career and internships fair for students and graduates of the « UdeS ».

Launching the event with a conference at the cultural center, the leader of the Drummondville company, employing nearly 500 people, took advantage of this day to connect with over seventy-five representatives of the next generation of engineers to better understand their interests and passions as well as their expectations regarding future employers. He was able to describe the possibilities of a career in engineering and the job opportunities that are available to them in companies such as Soucy International.

Acting as honorary president, Mr Todd also emphasized on the involvement of the Faculty of engineering of the University of Sherbrooke and their important contribution in the development of future engineers. The close relationship between the faculty and the Soucy group cannot be denied, judging by the many graduates, men and women, from the institution of Sherbrooke who contributed to bring the company up to its current level. Soucy is now a major contributor to the largest manufacturers of vehicles and equipment in the industrial, agricultural, defence and recreational sectors.

The fair was also an opportunity for the Department of human resources of Soucy and its recruiters to make the group known and the future needs in employment and internships. The company demand for engineers and designers is constantly growing and the competition is major judging by the presence of 88 other exhibitors. Over 600 participants attended the fair, which was a real success.
