Job Brief

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director - Atlantic & Western Canada, the District Sales Manager will visit dealers within his assigned Alberta district to present and promote Kimpex products. He will also participate in the market development by seeking new dealers and reaching distribution agreements.

Future challenges

  • Manage sales operations in the assigned Alberta district (Calgary and surrounding areas)
  • Meet with the dealers on a regular basis and enter into strategic sales agreements
  • Promote Kimpex’ products and develop promotional programs to increase sales
  • Support dealers and bring forward practical solutions to improve customers’ satisfaction
  • Validate inventory records, help dealers throughout booking process and assess their requirements
  • Participate in competitive intelligence tactics, contact potential clients and seek new business opportunities
  • Provide monthly schedule, call reports & sales forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager
  • Manage sample accounts and submit expense reports in accordance with Kimpex’ policies
  • Attend client events, sales meetings and trade shows

Your knowledge & Expertise

  • Post-secondary degree in business administration or equivalent experience
  • Previous sales management experience, ideally 3 to 5 years as a District Manager (proven sales track record)
  • Passionate about Powersports industry (ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile and marine)
  • Fluency in English and ability to speak French would be considered an asset
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and B2B + Booking tools

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Customer-focused and exceptional ability to develop long-term partnerships
  • Highly organized and strong time management skills with the ability to self-assess
  • Positive thinking, leadership and commitment to excellence!
  • The potential candidate must have a valid driver’s license and must reside in, or be willing to travel within the territory centered on Calgary, extending north to Red Deer, and south to Lethbridge. He must also assume frequent road and Ferry travels, as well as overnight and abroad travels sometimes.
