About Kimpex

Founded more than 50 years ago, Kimpex is a Canadian company who distributes parts and accessories for motorized sports (snowmobile, ATV, motorcycle & marine). Many products we distribute around the world have been proudly designed by our engineering team in the province of Quebec. Focused on innovation and excellence, we are looking for dynamic and passionate people to join our team!


Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM), the District Sales Manager (DSM) will visit dealers within his assigned district to present and promote Kimpex products. He will also participate in the market development by seeking new dealers and reaching distribution agreements. More specifically, the DSM will be responsible for:

  • Manage sales operations in the assigned district (Barrie and surrounding area, Ontario);
  • Meet with the dealers on a regular basis and enter into strategic sales agreements;
  • Promote Kimpex’ products and develop promotional programs to increase sales;
  • Support dealers and bring forward practical solutions to improve customers’ satisfaction;
  • Validate inventory records, help dealers throughout booking process and assess their requirements;
  • Participate in competitive intelligence tactics, contact potential clients and seek new business opportunities;
  • Provide monthly schedule, call reports & sales forecasts to the RSM;
  • Manage sample accounts and submit expense reports in accordance with Kimpex’ policies;
  • Attend client events, sales meetings and trade shows.

Knowledge & Expertise

  • Post-secondary degree in business administration or equivalent experience;
  • Previous sales management experience, ideally 3 to 5 years as a District Manager (proven sales track record);
  • Passionate about Powersports industry (ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile and marine);
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and B2B + Booking tools;
  • Fluency in English and ability to speak French would be considered an asset.

  • Highly organized and strong time management skills with the ability to self-assess;
  • Positive thinking, leadership and commitment to excellence;
  • *** The potential candidate must have a valid driver’s license and must reside in, or be willing to travel within Barrie and surrounding. He must also assume frequent road and Ferry travels, as well as overnight and abroad travels sometimes.***
